Chalet du Mont des Fraises

A spacious entrance hallway leads you into Chalet du Mont des Fraises and directly towards the open plan living, dining, and kitchen areas. You will no doubt feel at home in the living area, with a light and airy double height ceiling, and a huge corner sofa in front of the fire, you may never want to leave! Put your feet up and admire the stunning fireplace which combines rustic wood and stone to great effect.  An LCD Smart TV with surround sound system and Blu-ray player mean enjoyable nights in are a certainty. A selection of DVDs, great selection of family board games and Wi-Fi are also available for your use.

Positioned on the opposite side of the impressive fire place and within reach of it’s glowing, cosy warmth, is the bright and open dining area. A large wooden dining table can comfortably seat up to 10 people, and offers lovely views out through sliding glass doors to the gardens. A music system provides a relaxing soundtrack to a wonderful meal.

At the far end of this vast open space is the superbly equipped kitchen including a 4 ring hob, electric fan oven, dishwasher, microwave, and a large American style fridge freezer. A Nespresso coffee machine and electric milk frother add a touch of luxury, while cheese lovers or those wanting to try the local dishes will enjoy the fondue kit and raclette machine. An efficient layout incorporating granite stone work tops and a breakfast table creates plenty of work surface area, enough to keep even the most ambitious chefs happy!

A wide staircase featuring attractive local décor, leads to the upper level of the chalet which hosts 4 bedrooms and a family bathroom, while a study area with desk on the mezzanine overlooking the living area provides a quiet corner.  The master bedroom suite or 5th bedroom is located on the entrance level.

The lower level of the chalet features a spacious bar/cinema room with sofa, LCD TV, and an excellent sound system, while a separate games area boasts a pool table. Thus ensuring a great holiday experience whether you want to watch a good film or just to hang out! Also on the lower level is a spacious boot room providing great storage for outdoor clothing and equipment.  A washing machine, separate dryer, and a darts board are also available.

The chalet offers 5 spacious bedrooms, all of which have been furnished with quality items and with alpine detail which adds to the charm and luxury of this beautiful, alpine chalet.  The chalet offers 3 bathrooms and a further separate WC and sink.

Bedroom 1 is the luxurious master bedroom suite.  In this spacious bedroom, guests will find a super king size bed, plus it also features a useful walk in storage area with plenty of floor to ceiling wardrobes. A large wood dresser offers additional storage and is home for the LCD TV with DVD player. The bathroom is located to the opposite side of the suite and boasts a luxurious corner bath with jets, a separate shower with further jets, a wc and a vanity unit with built in sink.  Wonderful views across the garden and mountains can be enjoyed from each part of the room.

Bedroom 2 is located on the upper level and again features a super king size bed. This room can be arranged in a twin configuration on prior request, providing flexible sleeping options.  Storage space is provided by a built in wardrobe, plus further shelving with a desk space. The ensuite bathroom has a shower, WC and sink with vanity unit.

Bedroom 3 is a fantastic twin with private access to a large sunny balcony with stunning Alpine views. A ladder gives access to a unique mezzanine area which offers a great space for children to explore and enjoy, via a steep ladder style stairs.  A dressing table is available, while good storage is available in the built in wardrobe.

Bedroom 4 is a delightful, spacious room with a further luxurious super king size bed. The room offers private access to a sunny east facing balcony which offers fabulous views over the sleepy hamlet of Les Vallons en d’Haut to high snow capped mountains. Storage is provided by a large built in wardrobe.

Bedroom 5 is a cosy twin bedroom featuring attractive Savoyard décor. The large Velux window provides a light and uplifting ambiance and offers glimpses of surrounding forests and peaks. A built in wardrobe provides storage.

A family bathroom is located on the first floor and features a bath, separate shower, vanity unit with his 'n' her sinks, and WC.

A separate WC is also located on the entrance level.

The private gardens and outdoor facilities are a real highlight of Chalet du Mont des Fraises. The chalet is located in large 1200m2 secluded gardens, which benefit from day long sunshine with some shady areas for those hotter summer days. A mature hedge surrounding all 4 sides of the garden offers complete privacy without obscuring the stunning views of surrounding peaks and forests. Chalet du Mont des Fraises boasts a wonderful 9 m x 5m swimming pool is open and heated from late-May to mid-October, surrounded by decking and lawned area.  Sun loungers and large parasols are available. A folding table tennis table is available to use outside in the garden or during the colder months it can be set up in the roomy double garage. Towards the entrance of the chalet, a large covered area offers some shade, while a large round table and chairs and excellent gas BBQ offer the perfect al-fresco dining experience.

Bedrooms 3 and 4 share a large east facing balcony which provides wonderful views towards the snow-capped peaks above the stunning national park of Sixt Fer-a-Chevel.

Remote control gates give convenient access to the chalet’s grounds, while offering security and privacy and the 350m2 parking area, can easily accommodate 4 cars. The double garage, with remote control entrance, provides further covered parking spaces and excellent equipment storage.
For electric cars, you are able to charge your EV from a standard electrical socket in the garage, using your own EV charging cable.

Bike washing facilities are available for people wishing to enjoy the wonderful biking trails accessible from the chalet.
