Apartment La Bottiere is a light and contemporary 3 bedroom apartment, located perfectly for year round holidays in Samoens. The apartment offers 71m2 (8m2 below 1.8m high) of split level accommodation, cleverly laid out with two separate living areas to provide a bright and airy feel. The apartment offers an attractive mix of contrasting colours and textures, combining wood effect units and neutral tone tiles, with dark stone sinks and work surfaces. The apartment enjoys a particularly uplifting feel, thanks to a double height living space and its south facing orientation.
Light floods in through numerous windows and French doors, enjoy day long sunshine from a large 10m2 balcony. A dining table and comfortable seating provide the perfect vantage point as the mountains glow pink and the sun sets behind dramatic cliffs. Surrounding the apartment building is a communal lawned area which is ideal for kids to play and adults to relaxing equally!
Apartment La Bottiere has a fabulous location, almost half way between the village and the main ski lift, yet at the same time occupying a peaceful position. The Grand Massif Express gondola is a flat and easy 6 minute walk, or the ski bus stops 250m away. Samoens village centre and all its amenities are just 3 minutes' walk. Samoens' weekly market, and the ice rink are a mere 150m away, while the Tourist Office is only 250m. During the warmer months, a walk of around 500m will take you to Samoens’ popular outdoor swimming pool (open during summer), beautiful lakes, tennis courts, children's activity park and many nearby activities.
A private cave offers storage space for ski equipment/bikes, while ample parking is available behind the building.

Apartment La Bottiere is located on the first and second floor of an attractive chalet style complex in Samoens. As you enter the apartment, you will notice the bright and modern style the owners have incorporated, with clean lines and contemporary furnishings, set against the fresh white walls. In the entrance area there is a shoe rack and coat stand providing good storage space. The hallway leads you round into a light and spacious open plan kitchen, dining and living area. This fabulous convivial space benefits greatly from its vaulted ceiling, and a southerly aspect with light floods in through French windows which lead out to a large sunny balcony.
The stylish kitchen comes fully equipped with a full size electric fan oven, 4 ring hob, dishwasher, microwave, and luxurious extras such as a Nespresso coffee machine. The dining area complete with modern grey chairs set below a pendant light, can comfortably seat up to 8 people.
In the living area, guests will find a choice of comfortable seating and combined with a good selection of family board games, it provides the perfect place to relax. Additional seating is provided by two wicker armchairs, with soft sheepskin throws. A west facing window frames the impressive peak of Marcelly, which dominates the skyline as the sun sets. A snug/second living area on the upper level provides more comfortable cushion style seating as well as an LCD TV with Apple TV, DVD player and selection of DVDs. With prior request this snug area can be made up as a further sleeping area.
A washing machine is available in the upper bathroom.

Apartment La Bottiere features three bedrooms plus a snug to sleep 8 people. Arranged over two levels, each bedroom features luxurious white linen and soft, fluffy towels. The bathrooms each provide a complimentary starter selection of toiletries.
Bedroom 1 is a stunning queen size loft style suite with a private south facing balcony. Storage is provided by built in wardrobes.
A bathroom located across the mezzanine/snug area opposite, comes complete with a small bath and integrated shower, vanity unit with sink, towel radiator and WC.
Bedroom 2 is a light and spacious double bedroom with access to a sunny 10m2 balcony. In keeping with the apartments clean lines, a built in wardrobe provides great storage.
Bedroom 3 is an ideal space for kids and adults alike, with a single bed and extra wide full length hand built set of bunk beds. Storage is provided by large deep drawers beneath each bed. Please note, the large upper bunk bed is suitable only for those over the age of 15.
The snug comes complete with a sofa/cushion bed, which with prior notice can provide space for an additional child, offering more flexible sleeping arrangements.
A family bathroom is located on the lower level featuring a shower, vanity unit with sink, towel radiator and WC.
Apartment La Bottiere is located in a exclusive chalet style residence, made up of just a handful of apartments. It has an attractive exterior and boasts a wonderfully large 10m2 balcony. With a south facing aspect, it benefits from a great deal of sunshine - so ideal for catching a few rays! Comfortable seating is provided, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a refreshing drink and a memorable sunset.
Guests can enjoy flat communal gardens which surround the building, providing a great area to play or relax. These grounds can be seen from the apartment balcony, so parents can keep an eye on their children building snowmen, or kicking a football below.
A private cave provides equipment storage, while ample parking spaces are available exclusive to the development.
Apartment La Bottiere commands an excellent position in Samoens, in a quiet location surrounded by open farm land, yet remaining close to the village centre and the telecabine open summer and winter.
A short walk of around 3 minutes will take you to the beautiful village centre of Samoens, with it’s many cafes, bars, restaurants, bakery and charming local shops. The popular local market on a Wednesday morning, packed with local produce, is a mere 2 minutes’ walk, as well as a ski bus stop located at the tourist office.
During the winter months, a short flat walk of 6 minutes will take you to the Grand Massif Express gondola which offers efficient access to the vast and varied ski domain. Guests using our recommended ski equipment rental partner can enjoy convenient ski lockers at the top of the gondola. Alternatively, the ample free car parking is available opposite the gondola. Samoens’ impressive ice rink is just 150m away offering hours of family fun, as well as regular ice hockey matches. The valley boasts an excellent network of cross country skiing pistes, the closest of which is just 100m away.
For those visiting in spring, summer and autumn, a walk of around 5 minutes will take you to Samoens' beautiful lakes and park, with surrounding activities including pony rides, golf, tennis, basketball, and activity park. Within a few hundred metres of the apartment are a great selection of walking trails, whether you are looking for a gentle stroll along the river Giffre towards Morillon or Sixt, or a strenuous day long walk up the Criou or Bourgeoise mountains. Mountain bikers will find themselves a short cycle from the Grand Massif Express gondola, open during July and August and offering access to a great variety of trails. Road bikers will find the start of the famous Col du Joux Plane climb just 400m away, with many more relaxing valley floor options also available!

Really memorable, fantastic family holiday. Lovely, light, well appointed and equipped chalet in a great location; quiet but close enough to the centre of Samoens. Would definitely recommend both the chalet and the Haute Savioe area - stunning!

We are Andy and Sarah, a market researcher and cartoonist. We found that skiing is a great way to keep our three boys coming on family holidays as they grew older. We discovered Samoens on a friend's recommendation and now love summer in the mountains, as well as it's wonderful winter hospitality. Samoens combines a small town feel with extensive skiing and every year we seem add another activity to our time here.
