Chalet Jeroboam is a bright and spacious 4 bedroom chalet with hot tub, in an enviable location on the edge of Samoens in the Grand Massif. Arranged over 2 floors of 154m2, this property makes the most of its south facing and scenic position, with large windows and glass doors framing the picture perfect alpine scenery.
The chalet sleeps 8/10 people in the well proportioned rooms and offers a great choice for families and groups of friends. The chalet has been renovated beautifully to create comfortable living, while retaining its warm and modern alpine charm. The property features luxurious extras such as a log fire, under floor heating and quality furnishings, combined with locally sourced mountain themed decor. Wi-Fi and satellite Smart TV are available, as well as thoughtful extras such as a vintage record player.
The chalet occupies the front section of this semi-detached property. With a large south facing terrace complete with hot tub providing somewhere to relax in the sun and soothe achy legs, while the flat garden provides an excellent playground at any time of the year.
Chalet Jeroboam boasts a mezzanine/snug area with sofa bed, bean bag and desk on the upper level of the chalet.

Chalet Jeroboam provides a warm welcome via the spacious cloakroom area, leading you into a bright open plan dining, kitchen and living area. Enjoying a sunny south facing aspect, this vast convivial space has an uplifting feel thanks to the windows and glass doors offering 270 degree views. In the dining area, a contemporary suspended light hangs above the solid wood dining table and soft fabric chairs. Adjacent is an attractive wine rack, ensuring the next bottle is never far away!
The kitchen comes fully equipped and features a long breakfast bar with stools, ideal for snacks and providing ever more generous workspace. Other highlights include a 5 ring gas range cooker, American style fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave and a luxurious coffee machine. In the lounge, you will find two deep comfortable leather sofas to sink into and relax with the selection of books provided, or in front of the large Smart TV with satellite receiver. A wonderful extra is the record player complete with a record collection for music lovers. Wide sliding doors allow the living area to open out onto the terrace and garden, as well as offering wonderful views over open farmland towards Samoens' famous waterfall and the towering peaks of the Grand Massif.
The chalet features a mezzanine/snug area on the upper level of the chalet where guests will find a comfortable sofa bed, bean bag and desk. A secluded area to be enjoyed by kids and adults alike!
Chalet Jeroboam is a semi-detached chalet, connected to the 4/5 bedroom chalet - Chalet Balthazar. The chalets can be booked individually and are self contained with separate secluded hot tubs, however for larger groups, both the chalets can be booked together and opened up internally sleeping 18/20 in total.

Chalet Jeroboam boasts 4 light and spacious, well proportioned bedrooms spread over two levels. Each feature luxurious linen and soft furnishings to provide individual styling in each room. Soft fluffy towels and comfortable mattresses are provided for a good nights sleep at the chalet.
Bedroom 1 is a cosy ensuite twin bedroom located on the ground floor of the chalet. A sliding glass door offers private access to the gardens, while simultaneously providing wonderful views to a spectacular waterfall. A built in unit provides ample storage, while the ensuite bathroom features a shower and vanity unit with built in sink. A WC is available adjacent. This bedroom can be arranged as a king with prior request at booking stage.
Moving to the first floor, bedroom 2 is a spacious queen bedroom featuring attractive fresh and bright coloured furnishings with storage provided by a chest of drawers and hanging rail. A velux window positioned above the bed, comes complete with a remote controlled blind.
Bedroom 3 is another large bedroom featuring a luxurious king sized bed (can be configured as twin beds on request) dressed with calming soft colours, and positioned opposite a south facing window offering fabulous alpine views. A beautiful rustic wooden chest of drawers and additional built in hanging provides excellent storage space. The bedroom features a day bed (70cm wide) sleeping an additional 1 person, and offering flexible sleeping arrangements.
Bedroom 4 is the last of the light and spacious queen bedrooms and also boasts a south facing aspect, benefiting from more wonderful views while light floods the room. Storage is provided by a built in unit and a unique wooden chest of drawers.
The upper level of the chalet features a mezzanine/snug area with sofa bed which can sleep 1 person, taking total sleeping capacity to 10.
Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 share two bathrooms located on the same upper floor. The first is the main family bathroom featuring a bath with integrated shower, a contemporary vanity unit with sink, mirrored cabinet and WC. This room also comes complete with a washing machine and separate dryer. In the second bathroom with modern marble effect tiles, a large shower is provided plus a vanity unit with integrated sink. A third WC can be found separately across the hallway.
Chalet Jeroboam is a semi-detached chalet, which boasts an impressive south facing location surrounded by glorious alpine scenery. This includes truly seductive views to a stunning waterfall. A large sunny terrace with table and chairs provides the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine, or a BBQ. A bubbly hot tub enjoys the same wonderful views, and is a great place to relax after a day of exciting mountain adventures! Beyond the terrace is a flat garden area which is ideal for kids to play at all times of the year.
Ski storage is available in a lockable cupboard. There is also the added benefit of a secure barn offering bike and larger outdoor equipment storage. The chalet comes complete with off street parking in the driveway for 3 cars, and you are able to charge your electric car from the barn using your own EV charging cable and standard electrical socket.
Chalet Jeroboam enjoys a wonderfully peaceful and unspoilt location on the edge of Samoens, surrounded by open farmland and dramatic views. A flat scenic walk of around 9 minutes will take you to the historic village centre of Samoens, where you will find many excellent restaurants, cafes, bars, local shops, boulangeries, and an impressive weekly market.
A ski bus stop can be found just 5 minutes walk from the chalet offering a regular and free service to the Grand Massif Express gondola in Samoens, providing an efficient link into the vast Grand Massif network. Alternatively, a large car park is available at the same gondola.
Guests visiting in spring, summer and autumn will find fantastic walking trails surrounding the chalet, including those leading to the imposing peak of Le Criou. Those looking for a more relaxed walk will enjoy a stroll through the sleepy hamlet of Les Vallons, or join into the gentle trails following the river Giffre between Samoens, Sixt-Fer-a-Cheval and beyond.

"We’ve just returned from our 3rd visit to Chalet Jeroboam. The chalet is perfectly located - minutes from the Samoens Grand Massif Express and is within walking distance to the village. On arrival, everything was immaculately clean and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a self catering stay. As a family, we particularly loved the outdoor space surrounding the chalet. We’ve spent many happy aprés-ski afternoons sitting outside watching our children play in the garden and on the field while we relaxed with a drink. The hot tub was a firm favourite too! We are already looking forward to returning again next year."
