Samoens and Grand Massif Snow Conditions & Weather
We're back and ready to go for the 2018/19 Grand Massif ski season! We'll bring you snow and weather related updates through the Autumn as they happen, followed by daily updates once the ski season begins.
10-12-18 - Heavy snow has been falling all weekend in the Grand Massif, and continues to fall today. Early indications suggest 50cm at 1600m with 60-70cm higher on the mountains. We're hopeful of a great start to the season, which gets underway in less than a week!
08-12-18 - Snow depths have been slowly building over the last couple of weeks, but forecasts for this weekend suggest up to 1m of snow which could provide a great start to the season! And even more snow is currently forecast for opening weekend! Keep those fingers crossed!
25-11-18 - We've had around 20cm of snow on the higher slopes of the Grand Massif over the last few days. The forecasts currently looks cold with a few more snow flurries later in the week. Keep it coming!
31-10-18 - We've had our first major snowfall of the autumn, which fell all the way down to Samoens village level at around 750m! Higher on the mountain lies a nice thick covering of snow. It's still early, but it's a great sign!
26-10-18 - The first substantial snowfalls of the autumn are forecast this this weekend, and next week, for Samoens and the Grand Massif. We could be looking at over 50cm of snow over the next 7 days which would be a fantastic early surprise!
